Google Play is another year older, and that can only mean one thing — sales! Google is discounting a bundle of apps, games, music, moves, books and more from Google Play to celebrate their third year of, well, being.

Albums like Drake’s Thank Me Later can be had for just $.99, while all three movies in the latest Batman trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan can be had for .99 each. You’ll also get apps like Runtastic and Facetune for $.10, and the entire first season of Breaking Bad for just .99.

Something to consider before buying the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact for $400 on eBay [DEALS]

Without question the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is one of the best smartphones on the market. Fantastic battery life, great camera, all in a bite-sized package that’s perfect for 1-handed use. Today, the Z3c — in black, white, red, and green — was thrown up on eBay where it’s been marked down to a very reasonable 0. It’s a great deal to be sure, one that’s about cheaper than you’ll find on Sony’s website. But before you grab your credit card, keep in mind this is not the US model (D5803) sold direct from Sony’s US store.

This particular model is the D5833. That means if you’re looking to buy for use here in the states, you should be okay if you’re on AT&T (it seems to supports all of AT&T’s frequency bands), but even then we’ve seen reports of weird IMEI editing tricks that needed to be done in order to fully unlock dormant LTE bands. So, proceed with caution.

If you’re looking to purchase for use on T-Mobile, you’ll want to stick with the D5803 model on Sony’s site. For everyone else in other parts of the world, you’ll want to make sure this specific model plays nice with your carrier’s frequency bands before picking it up. In either case, it is a great deal and probably the best small smartphone you an buy right now.

Moto 360 is on sale at Amazon for just $179 [DEALS]

The tech world has been dominated by Apple Watch news this week, but we here in Android Land have been using smartwatches for a while. Long before Apple was selling overpriced watches we’ve been using some beautiful devices of our own. The Moto 360 was the first smartwatch that could pass as a fashionable “real” watch, and now it’s on sale for a great price.

Amazon is offering a couple of versions of the Moto 360 for just 9, which is off the original price. The black version with black leather band and silver version with stone leather band are available at the discounted price. The champagne and dark metal versions are also on sale for 9. We’re starting to hear rumors about the next Moto 360, but it’s still a great time to buy the original.

It’s that time of the year where we prepare for another year of Android flagship releases, while older devices are discounted in an attempt at moving product. You can find the Nexus 9 for $75 off at Best Buy [DEALS]

The Nexus 9 — although not perfect in any sense — is still the only 9-inch Nexus Tablet out there. Love it or hate it. For those that aren’t turned off by some of its shortcomings (we’ve seen varying reports of bugginess and questionable build quality), the tablet can be found at Best Buy this weekend for a cool off.

That brings the price down to 5 for the 16GB version, and 5 for the 32GB model in either Indigo black, or Lunar white. Normally priced at 0/0, that’s still cheaper than you’ll find the Nexus 9 on the Google Store.

Pick up a brand new AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 with non-streamlined TouchWiz for $350 unlocked [DEALS]

I never was a big fan of the Samsung Galaxy S5, but that doesn’t mean I don’t recognize a deal when I see it. If you hop on over to eBay, you can find a brand new AT&T model for only 0 unlocked. It’s not a bad deal, with the S5 being the last of the Galaxy S line to offer a micro SD card slot, a removable battery, and IP67 water resistance rating.

Of course, there are a lot of downsides too. The phone only comes in white, only has 16GB of internal storage (less than that is even usable), and even though it was recently updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, it still features the bloated, laggy, un-streamlined version of TouchWiz it always has. Galaxy S6 this is not. Actually, you sure you want to do this? Especially when you can grab a OnePlus One for the same price. But we suppose options are nice.

You’d be hard pressed to find a better “smart” watch for under 0, but if you hurry, you can grab a refurbished LG G Watch for only . We saw a similar deal last month when AT&T was clearing out their stock but this one comes from the same eBay seller who typically runs these Android deals. You might want to hurry because supply is limited.

A few weeks back Android Wear 5.1.1 began hitting smartwatches with WiFi support being one of the bigger features to come out of the update. Keep in mind that the LG G Watch was one of the few Android Wear devices that doesn’t support WiFi but for some, it’s really not too big a deal, especially when you consider the G Watch’s low price.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Mobile Roar Podcast, you’ve know I’ve been meaning to trade in my DROID Turbo for a big ‘ol honkin’ Nexus 6. Any time you get a new phone, a case is almost always mandatory. It’s a good thing a buddy of mine turned me on to this amazing deal.
