The credit is good for any and all digital content in the Play Store — not hardware.

Once one of the eligible devices has been ordered, you’ll receive an email with a promo code once it actually ships out. Google says the promo code in your email does expire, so you’ll only have until April 20th to redeem it. Even then, once redeemed, you’ll only have until September to go on a Play Store binge, so hopefully you’ve already built up a healthy wishlist of apps/games/music/movies or whatever your heart fancies on Google Play.

It’s that time of the year where we prepare for another year of Android flagship releases, while older devices are discounted in an attempt at moving product. If you were waiting to pull the trigger on the still very capable Motorola Moto X 2014, the phone is seeing a discount — yes, on April Fool’s Day — to 0 for a limited time.

Motorola has these deals from time to time, which is likely an effort by them to help clear out some stock and increase some demand for a phone going head-to-head with this year’s rival flagships. At 0 for the base-model, that’s a 0 off which isn’t a bad deal by any stretch. When customized on Motorola’s site, the Moto X offers quite a few upgrades, things like 64GB internal storage boost, or leather and wood backed trims. Fleksy keyboard giving away free unlock to full version, but only for a limited time

We know, it’s going to be tough for anyone already invested in their favorite keyboard app to try something new, but we implore you to give Fleksy a shot. After recently adding a handful of amazing new features, it’s been fighting for the top spot in our favorite keyboard apps ever. Yeah, it’s that good.

Right now, Fleksy is allowing anyone with the free (trial) version of their app to unlock the full version for free. All you have to do is download the free version of the app (uninstall and re-download if you already have it installed) and when you sign into their cloud service, you’ll unlock the full version for free.

Normally the paid version runs about , which isn’t much, but this will encourage new users to give them a shot. Especially if all you’ve used is the official Google Keyboard or SwiftKey. Fleksy really does offer something different with aggressive auto-correct that allows you to sloppily type whatever you like and the ability to use a combination of gestures to undo corrections, delete words, or add words to the dictionary. Once you get in the swing of things it quickly becomes 2nd nature, so try sticking with it for a few days.

Google unveils limited edition Skrillex cases with matching live wallpapers for select Android devices

In a somewhat un-Googley move, the internet search giant is unveiling a new line of specialty cases now available on their online storefront. The “Live Cases” as they’re being called were designed in collaboration with world-renown artist Skrillex and not only feature unique designs, but matching live wallpapers as well.

The companion live wallpapers will change in real-time throughout the day with visuals of the Earth or constellations at night. Why? Apparently this has something to do with a balloon satellite named after Skrillex’s dog that Google sent up into the stratosphere to photograph the images. Once the satellite hits earth, Google will actually have it signed by Skrillex and mailed off to a lucky Android fan in an upcoming Twitter giveaway.

The Skrillex Live Cases will grant owners with early access to an unannounced record from Skrillex’s OWSLA label on Google Play and updates about Skrillex delivered straight to their phone. The cases even have a shortcut button built into them that either take you directly to Skrillex’s YouTube channel, or can be customized to launch whichever app you like. Needless to say, these aren’t your typical “dumb cases.”

That being said, that kind of tech doesn’t come cheap and the Skrillex Live cases retail for around a piece. They come in 3 options — Space Shield, Circuit Bae, and Lil Planet — and are compatible with a very select few Android device (it’s still more than we expected). The Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S5, and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are all included and can be purchased from the Google Store while supplies last and only until the end of June.

Skrillex is just the first artist Google will be teaming up with for these new limited-edition cases, with new “Editions” coming in the near future. We’ll be on the lookout.

Moto 360 on sale for $180 (that’s $70 off), limited time only

In a sort of early Mother’s Day promotion, Motorola is taking a cool off the Moto 360, bringing the price down to a very reasonable 0. If you were waiting for the Android Wear powered smartwatch to hit that sub 0 price point, now’s your chance to pick one up. You can design your own on Moto Maker, customizing the watch with various watch strap sizes, materials, and designs.

Aside from still being one of the better, minimal looking Android Wear devices on the market, the watch has also been confirmed to receive WiFi functionality once that new 5.1 software update gets to rolling out. We have a feeling the recently released — and circular — LG Watch Urbane may have motivated the price cut, but don’t forget that watch will run you a cool 0. New LG G4 promo offers free leather back and bonus battery with cradle for a limited time

If you were bummed that you missed out on LG’s initial LG G4 promo back when the phone first launched — which officially expired toward the end of June — you could have a second chance. LG is now offering up a new deal for the month of July to anyone still on the fence about picking up a G4 and it’s not too unlike their previous deal.

Despite being more than 7 months old, the Nexus 6 is still one of the best phablets on the market. With 2K display, 13MP camera with OIS and ample storage, you could certainly do a lot worse. Sure there’s the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but if Android updates worry you — and we know they do — the Nexus 6 is your best bet if you’re looking for a 5.5-inch+ smartphone.
