Pick up a Nexus 6, 9, or Android Wear smartwatch and get $50 Google Play credit for a limited time

Google Store Devices

It’s not the price drop we were hoping for (not unless you plan on grabbing the Sony SmartWatch 3), but we’ll take it none the less. Starting today, you can get in Google Play credit when purchasing a Nexus 6, Nexus 9, or any Android Wear smartwatch from the all new Google Store. The credit is good for any and all digital content in the Play Store — not hardware.

Once one of the eligible devices has been ordered, you’ll receive an email with a promo code once it actually ships out. Google says the promo code in your email does expire, so you’ll only have until April 20th to redeem it. Even then, once redeemed, you’ll only have until September to go on a Play Store binge, so hopefully you’ve already built up a healthy wishlist of apps/games/music/movies or whatever your heart fancies on Google Play.

Deal ends on March 31st, so if you’ve been thinking about picking up one of these devices, you’ll have to act fast. Oh, and if you get the Sony SmartWatch 3, it’s currently off + Google Play credit. Not a bad deal at all.

For anyone who can’t get enough Android in their life, the Android TV-powered Nexus Player makes a great option to streaming devices like Apple TV or Roku. Right now, the streaming set top box can now be found on Amazon for around , that’s about cheaper than you’ll find it on the Google Store.

The Nexus Player also comes with a complimentary Google Play credit of to download applications, games, or add movies to your library. We should note, this is the basic model that only comes with a remote — not the official Gamepad for playing video games (that’ll run you an extra ). That being said, it’s still a pretty good deal for anyone who’s been eying the Nexus Player, but wanted to wait for a deal first. Grab it on Amazon via the link below.

Grab a Nexus 6 for $150 off on the Google Store, Nexus 9 comes with $50 Google Play credit

Nexus 6 0 off Google Store promo

After discounting the Nexus Player last week by a mere (that’s actually not a bad percentage), the Nexus 6 is now following suit. Google is firing up another sale by dropping the price of the Nexus 6 by 0 on the Google Store where it now sits at 0 for the 32GB version, or 0 for the 64GB.

What’s more, Google is also offering a special promotion for the Nexus 9 where you can get in Google Play credit. It’s not a discount on the tablet, all that free software is definitely a nice bonus. The Nexus 9 promo ends June 23rd and although there’s no “limited time” tag on the Nexus 6, but it seems to be part of a Father’s Day promo, so hop on it.

Deal: buy a Verizon HTC One M9 and get $100 in Google Play credit

HTC One M9 custom nav bar DSC08928

HTC is putting on a pretty awesome deal for those who decide to grab the HTC One M9 through Verizon. You can be hooked up with a 0 Google Play credit in order to take in all the best entertainment Google Play has to offer.

Google Play credit is good for any digital goods you can find in Google’s vast marketplace, including games, apps, movies, books, TV shows and music. You won’t be able to use the credit for buying devices such as the Nexus 6 or Nest Camera, though, so don’t get too excited if that was your first thought.

Now, about that fine print (don’t worry, it’s all reasonable):

  • The offer is good for devices purchased between July 1st, 2015 and August 31st, 2015, giving you a two-month window to buy one.

  • You have to submit proof of purchase information right here.

  • Once you get the code to add the credit to your Google Play account, the code must be redeemed by September 30th, 2015.

  • Once the credit has been added, you must use it before September 30th, 2016.

Oh, and don’t forget that all comes with the other benefits of buying an HTC One M9, including Uh-Oh one-time free phone replacement for accidental damage. You can head to Verizon and buy one right here once you’ve taken another look at our HTC One M9 review and decided you want one, or stop into your local store if you want your hands on it as soon as possible.
