Google Play Services 7.3 allows multiple Android Wear devices to connect to a single phone

Google has just announced a forthcoming upgrade to Google Play Services. It’s version 7.3, and while most of the changes are specific to developers — such as more robust Location APIs and enhancements to Google Fit’s APIs — there’s one neat future everyone should know about.

According to Google, the update will make it possible for multiple Android Wear devices to connect and sync to a single Android device. This means it won’t be much of an issue for users to switch between smart watches at ease. We’re not sure what sort of baller you’d have to be in order to own multiple Android Wear devices that you regularly switch between, but if you ever find yourself in that scenario then you’ll be glad this functionality is here.

Developers can grab the SDK right now by accepting the latest update, and it shan’t be long before the functionality arrives to handsets everywhere.

Newly leaked LG G4 renders give us multiple new angles to check out

@OnLeaks is back with more LG G4 renders for us to drool over. These new shots give us a look at not just the rear that we saw yesterday, but also the front and sides. It still looks just like an LG G3, folks, save for a bit more of a hump to protect the camera on the rear.

The leakster confirmed that the device does have a slight curve not just in its chassis, but also in the display itself. It’s not as profound an effect as it is on the curvaceous LG G Flex 2, but it’s there.

Otherwise, everything else looks pretty ordinary. Specs for the LG G4 are still largely unconfirmed at this time, but we’re expecting a display size anywhere between 5.2 and 5.7 inches, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and a megapixel count between 16.0 and 20.7 for its rear camera (and we’re told that sensor will once again be supported by a laser-assisted autofocus).

More interesting than what it looks like is when it’ll launch. Unfortunately that bit of information is still yet to be revealed, but it won’t be long as LG is said to be looking to lift the curtains up at some point in April. We’ll have to see if they’ll be fast enough to make it to market before Samsung and HTC’s latest options gain too much momentum.

Hangouts 4.0 for iOS brings new UI, lets you send multiple photos at once – so where’s the Android update?

It’s probably not the Hangouts update Android users have been expecting, but Hangouts 4.0 rolled out today for iOS users and brings a slick new user interface and a few other tricks along with it.

Most notably, an all new attachment UI that looks similar to other popular messaging apps, with photos that replace the keyboard for easy sending. What’s more is you can now send multiple photos at once, something anyone that’s spent a lot of time with the app will appreciate. With Google Photos now backing up all your photos and videos for free (the Android version of the app pools these in with your on-device photos), this is something that should really come handy.

While we have yet to hear a peep out of Google, we’re crossing our fingers that an Android version isn’t too far behind. With “Update Wednesday” soon approaching, it could be no more than a few days away although we wont get our hopes up. Maybe Google will finally allow Android users to send video clips — like they already do on iOS — as well?
