Instagram puts a ban on bare butts with newly revised community guidelines

There seems to be a major butt fetish going around these days, more so than ever. Hey, I wont judge. If that’s the sorta thing you’re into, you’ll probably be seeing a lot less of it on Instagram. The Facebook-owned social network revised some of their community guidelines today, adding wording that specifically outlines their ban on “nudity.” We’re sorry to tell you, but bare butts — not matter how artistic — are included. Sir-Mix-A-Lot is rolling in his grave (wait — he’s still alive?). Here’s the direct quote:

“This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks.”

The Community Guidelines also updated their “don’t be rude section” detailing various forms of harassment which include “encouraging violence or attacking” anyone based on religion, gender, race, sexual orientation or anything else. In other words: don’t be a dick. It’s something that will take you far in life, but people always have difficulty heeding on the internet.

With more and more young’ins flocking to Instagram, it’s probably better this way. We will note that photos of breast feeding or mastectomy scars are still allowed, so feel free to continue posting those.

Sony Xperia Z4 leaked from every angle, newly exposed charging port and all

In an update to yesterday’s “teaser” leak where we only got a look at half of the device, we’re now getting a real good look at the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 from just about every angle. The new renders, which the author notes are still early and subject to change, reveal some interesting changes coming to Sony’s flagship.

On the smaller side of changes, the SIM slot has been moved from the right side of the device to the left. Although it’s not labeled, it could share a slot with the micro SD card. You’ll also notice Sony going with more of an Xperia Z2 style speaker slits along the very top and bottom of the display glass. No biggie.

Probably the most notable changes are the absence of the charging dock pins along the side, as well as the moving of the charging port from the top left — where it was hidden under a waterproof flap — down to the bottom, where it is now completely exposed. So what does that mean for water resistance?

Sony Mobile has long made it a water resistance a staple of their entire Xperia line, even on the low-end. Ditching this ethos on a new flagship would be counter-intuitive and simply wouldn’t make sense for a company that’s been struggling to make headway into a crowded smartphone market.

We can’t say for certain what we’re looking at here, not until Sony makes it official. Judging by recent leaks — and the influx of 2015 flagships — we imagine that wont be too much longer.

UPDATE: As our some have pointed out in the comments, Sony is no longer hiding the charging port behind a waterproof flap in their latest devices like the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, and the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, but still keeping that high Ingress rating (IP65/68).

Newly leaked LG G4 renders give us multiple new angles to check out

@OnLeaks is back with more LG G4 renders for us to drool over. These new shots give us a look at not just the rear that we saw yesterday, but also the front and sides. It still looks just like an LG G3, folks, save for a bit more of a hump to protect the camera on the rear.

The leakster confirmed that the device does have a slight curve not just in its chassis, but also in the display itself. It’s not as profound an effect as it is on the curvaceous LG G Flex 2, but it’s there.

Otherwise, everything else looks pretty ordinary. Specs for the LG G4 are still largely unconfirmed at this time, but we’re expecting a display size anywhere between 5.2 and 5.7 inches, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and a megapixel count between 16.0 and 20.7 for its rear camera (and we’re told that sensor will once again be supported by a laser-assisted autofocus).

More interesting than what it looks like is when it’ll launch. Unfortunately that bit of information is still yet to be revealed, but it won’t be long as LG is said to be looking to lift the curtains up at some point in April. We’ll have to see if they’ll be fast enough to make it to market before Samsung and HTC’s latest options gain too much momentum.

Newly announced HTC J Butterfly 3 could be the redesigned One M9 we were looking for

When the HTC One M9 was finally unveiled at Mobile World Congress, there were more than a few fans who were disappointed to find the design didn’t deviate much away from last year’s One M8. It didn’t help matters that only a few weeks prior to the official unveiling, famed tipster @evleaks revealed press renders of an alleged One M9 with a vastly different front face. In the end, that device apparently never made it out of the concept phase with HTC instead opting for something a little more familiar to consumers (perhaps even a little too familiar). But is it possible HTC incorporated that leaked design in its latest handset for Japan?

Announced in Japan, the HTC J Butterfly 3 is the company’s latest high-end device for Japanese carrier KDDI. It packs a design aesthetic eerily reminiscent of that leaked One M9 we saw awhile back, only with a few key differences. One, this phone is all plastic and the perforated speaker holes sit in between the glass display and the plastic bezel. It’s very similar to what we saw with the HTC Desire EYE. Running with that, the Butterfly 3 even packs a similar 13MP front facing shooter like the Eye, mounted directly in the middle of the top plastic bezel. You may remember this was rumored early on to come equipped on the One M9 (and shown in @evleaks’ leaked render).

On the back, HTC’s Duo Camera makes a return (another feature we heard would make it to the One M9 but didn’t), coupled with a 20.2MP rear facing camera. As far as other hardware specs, the Butterfly 3 features a pin sharp 5.2-inch 2560×1440 resolution LCD 3 display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 2,700mAh battery, IPX5/IPX7 water resistance rating, and comes in 3 color options: red, white, and blue.

There really is a lot here to love and honestly, it makes us wonder if the Butterfly 3 doesn’t trump the One M9 in some respects. The Butterfly 3 will launch in Japan this June on KDDI.
