Nexus 9 DSC07276

Quick: Best Buy has a deal going on right now that will net you a Nexus 9 for 0 less. The right now isn’t a joke: it will literally only last a couple of more hours as it’s their latest 4-hour flash sale.

You can also get a few bucks off some cases and accessories for it, off a Chromecast, and off a couple of Acer Chromebooks. You have until 4PM Eastern to take advantage. Why are you still here? GO!

You’ll want to act fast for Best Buy’s latest deal: they have the 1st Gen Verizon Moto G for a mere . This isn’t the LTE model, mind you, and it might not be the greatest budget phone by today’s standards, but for less than the cost of a month of service on any decent prepaid carrier you can’t really go wrong here.

The catch is that this is part of Best Buy’s latest 4-hour sale, and there’s less than hour left on that. The window closes promptly at 4PM, so be sure to get that order in as soon as possible.

PS: There are a few other decent options on sale, including the LG Volt 4G for Boost Mobile for .99, the unlocked Blu Dash 5.5 for .99, and the unlocked Sony Xperia T2 Ultra for 7.99. All of it is right here so get on it before it’s too late.

Facebook’s F8 Developer Conference is happening today at 1PM Eastern, here’s where you can watch live

Facebook Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook’s developer conference is going on today folks. I know, grumble grumble, Facebook hate. But as much as you might not like the social network, they’re still pretty big and have made significant strides in the past couple of years to move beyond the likes and shares to become a tech juggernaut. We saw their first big movement with the purchase of Oculus Rift, one of the biggest players in virtual reality who were responsible for getting the world excited about the technology again.

Want to follow along? Facebook’s streaming all their announcements live right here starting at 1PM Eastern. If you can’t quite cut a block of time out of your schedule to watch live we’ll certainly be bringing you any pertinent news to spawn from the event. For everyone else, grab the popcorn!

Here’s where to watch today’s Oculus Rift announcement live online at 1PM Eastern

Oculus Rift is making a big announcement today, and you guessed it: it’s being live-streamed. It’s all going down at 1PM Eastern, and we expect to hear details about the consumer launch of the virtual reality headset, including possible pricing, release date, a new name and — of course — a look at the final design they’ll be going with for its life on store shelves.

That its launch is being streamed on Twitch also suggests we’ll be in store for some new gameplay demos. Recent rumors suggest Oculus Rift will look somewhat similar to the latest Crescent Bay prototype that developers have been using to whip up their content.

oculus rift placeholder render leak

A leak from the company’s own website seemingly contradicted that, though Oculus Rift noted that the devices spotted in the images on their website were “ancient” placeholder renders. Whether that’s just a convenient excuse to throw us off the trail remains to be seen, but we suppose the point is moot considering there are only a couple of short hours before all the details are spilled. Be sure to use the Twitch embed above to follow along once 1PM arrives.
